AISSLab Presents Breakthrough Medical AI Research at IEEE BHI 2025
- AISSLab is proud to announce our latest research spotlight at the globally renowned IEEE BHI 2025 Conference one of the world’s top gatherings for Biomedical and Health Informatics hosted this year by Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. Our lab’s head, Professor Mugahed A. Al-antari, represented AISSLab as the sole presenter, sharing our innovative work with leading experts in health informatics and AI.
- The presented paper, “AutoSpineAI: Lightweight Multimodal CAD Framework for Lumbar Spine MRI Assessments” (read full paper), introduces an advanced computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system that leverages both vision and language models for fully automated, accurate MRI analysis and report generation. This work reflects the lab’s unique approach to combining AI, rapid segmentation, and clinical interpretation for better spinal disease assessment, receiving wide interest at the conference.
- This achievement, built through international research collaborations with institutions in Korea and Turkey, further strengthens AISSLab’s reputation for pioneering practical solutions using agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and explainable multimodal systems in medical healthcare.
